Caprina & the Benefits of Goat's Milk

 Growing up, I, like most kids, was always told to drink milk because it's good for you. My grandmother used to call me a little calf because I loved milk. Now that I'm an adult, I'm still drinking it, but I've discovered the beneficial properties of using goat's milk in topical products.

Carpina by Canus has realized the benefits of goat's milk and has created an entire line of products based on that.

Goat's milk is naturally full of vitamins, such as B1, B2, B12, C, D and E. They're all great vitamins that our body needs. And because of the structure of the proteins contained in goat's milk (they're considered to be short proteins), our body actually absorbs all these nutrients. Add something like olive oil or shea butter, and you got a recipe that every skin type will benefit from.

The Fresh Goat's Milk Body Lotion with Shea Butter can be used on your entire body, including hands and feet. Because it contains shea butter, this is a very emollient product that absorbs very quickly into the skin, leaving your skin almost baby-bottom smooth! It does have a light scent, but it's not over-powering at all.

My favourite of the scents, the Fresh Goat's Milk Body Wash with Orchid Oil (I didn't know that was a thing!) is a gel body wash that leaves your skin feeling smooth and clean (and smelling amazing!). It didn't dry out my skin like other body washes in the past have, and I don't feel the need to apply a body lotion immediately after. I think I found a new favourite!

Since I don't tend to use bars of soap, I got the man of the house to test out the Fresh Goat's Milk Soap (Original Formula). He's not very descriptive, but here were some key items when I probed him:
- it smells like my grandmother. Not in a bad way, just in that weird fresh way
- the bar's too big. See! I it doesn't fit in my hand nicely (it's a bad thing??? he's only dropped in like, twice in the two weeks)
- Well it cleaned me. You can see the dirty water just rolling off me, so it works

He didn't know if it was moisturizing, so when I felt his skin afterwards, he did feel nice & smooth like me after using the body wash! He clearly doesn't pay attention to that stuff.
