Warmer weather brings lighter makeup, and for me, that's using a nice, light BB cream instead of heavy foundations.
Typically, I'll apply a BB cream using my knock-off beauty blender from Winners. Simply wet the sponge until it swells up, squeeze the water out, apply BB cream dots to my face then dab/bounce the sponge to create an even, flawless finish.
Recently, I was sent a tool that's supposed to eliminate the first two steps of my not-so-long process. The Ecotools Skin Perfecting Brush.
What it is:
A brush featuring cruelty free bristles, recycled aluminum ferrule and bamboo handle designed for application of BB and CC creams.
Per the packaging:
"Achieve a natural look while evening out skin tone with this two-tone brush, specially designed to smoothly apply BB/CC creams and tinted moisturizers. The angle edge is ideal for precision application around nose and under eyes. Let your natural glow shine through with our hand-cut tapered design that allows you to apply your skincare products with sheer but complete coverage. Our brushes are a safe and effective alternative to using your finger!"
I've used it several times and it has delivered a flawless application each time. The angle of the brush makes it a breeze to get the crease around your nose and around your lips. The handle is extremely comfortable in the hand and the size of the brush and bristles make it so you don't have to try to go over the same spot 5 times to get good coverage.
The only downfall, is how much product it absorbs. It's not much, but you'll notice that you may have to do an extra dab of product to get your entire face. When you clean your brush, it's a little difficult to get everything out because of how thick it is.
So, if you're not into sponges, use this brush, you wont regret it. It's eco-friendly and not expensive. Cleaned regularly, it's much more sanitary than your fingers, and you'll get a much more even application. You can buy this from Farleyco.ca, Pharmasave, and I think I may have seen it at Walmart (not 100% sure on the last one)
