Mani Monday: Neutral Roses
It's a long weekend here in Ontario, and I'm hoping that everyone's having a great time enjoying the beautiful weather and spending time with family & friends.
Having recently struggled with some manicures in the past couple weeks (a review's to come on a polish brand this week), I decided to go with something neutral and some stamping.
Stamping really can bring life to a boring neutral colour. Your nails look awesome in very little time and barely any effort.
I chose to go with essence cosmetics' I Heart Trends, The Nudes, in 03 I'm Lost in You. I loved this colour on its own, but it needed a little something extra.
I used the roses design from the 03 Cici & Sisi stamping plate with the Born Pretty black stamping polish.
Image transferred like a champ!
After allowing the stamping polish to dry for about 5 minutes, I used the essence cosmetics the Gel Nail Polish top coat. Unfortunately, I've noticed that just about any top coat tends to streak the black stamping polish a bit. It sucks, but I did my best.
I'm still quite happy with the results.

I looove the graphic. :) So well done! I've still never tried any stamping. I love the look of it, I just don't think I have the patience!
ReplyDeleteThanks Chelle! I personally find that stamping doesn't take much patience. It's as easy as using a dotting tool, but you get prettier images :)
DeleteI love the stamping! I've found that most top coats create streaks, that's why I use China Glaze Fairy Dust a lot because that one does NOT streak, woo! Sucks when I don't want the glitters though, but I usually make it work.
ReplyDeleteLove the new Mani Monday image! :-)
Thanks Chantal!
DeleteAnd that Fairy Dust wins again! I need to find a good top coat for stamping. It's seriously annoying!
