Review: Amie Petal Perfect 2-in-1 Cleanser & Toner

One of the very first skincare items my mother ever purchased for me was toner. I'm pretty sure I was 10-13 years, but I've used a toner every single day from that moment on. Toners help restore the pH balance to you skin and can feel quite refreshing. On mornings where I don't have the time to do my full skin care routine, I'll only use toner since it helps get rid of that extra dirt and oil that's just sitting there. However, Amie has quickly become my new best friend with their Petal Perfect 2-in-1 Cleanser & Toner.

Amie's website describes it as lotion, but I find the consistency to be more like that of a cleansing milk (a little runny, but not a full on liquid). The instructions say to put some on a cotton pad, then wipe over your face. I'll do this for the mornings I'm in a super hurry, but I prefer to rub it onto my face in circular motions, then remove it with a cotton pad. This way, I know that I haven't missed any spots and my cotton pad wont absorb it all before it gets the chance to go over my face.

Petal Perfect 2-in-1 Cleanser & Toner does help breakdown your makeup, but is not advised to avoid direct contact with your eyes. So it's good for a little left over smeared liner or mascara, but don't use it to try to remove it all. When you run the cotton pad across your face, you can see all the dirt and oil that it removed.

I only use this in the morning, since at night I prefer using something a little more aggressive such as an exfoliator or my Clarisonic. Speaking of Clarisonics, if you don't like using anything harsh or really soapy the morning/night after using your Clarisonic, Amie's Petal Perfect 2-in-1 Cleanser & Toner is perfect. It's gentle on your skin, so it wont irritate it.

I love this cleanser and plan on making sure I have a backup before I run out. This retails for about $10, and can be found in select Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix in Canada.

Here are some other reviews I've done about the Amie products
