Face Friday: Cost of a simple look

There's something about doing makeup that's relaxing. It's an artful way to express yourself that you're able to change every day. But, have you ever stopped and thought about how much all this makeup costs to paint your canvas?

Let's start with this simple look that I did when I went to Medieval Times. I went with a very minimal look to fit with the time a little more (minus the lips).

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer $45
Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radient Concealer $32
Garnier Skin Renew BB Cream $15
Wet n' Wild Photofocus Primer $6.99 (approx)
Lise Watier Bronzing Powder in Havana $33
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water $37
essence make me brow $3.99
Cargo Texaslash $24
Bite Luminous Creme Lipstick in Mauvember $30

Total: $226.98

The bronzer did double duty since it was also used as eyeshadow. I also didn't use eyeliner or highlighter, which are both in my normal day-to-day makeup look.

This has really got me wondering what my normal day-to-day makeup and what the total cost, including brushes is. Perhaps next time.

PS - Have you entered my giveaway yet?

  1. Mauvember is sooooooo pretty! Wish it didn't turn bright purple on me :( Why can't it look on me the way it looks on you, Sam??????

    1. oh boo! Must be the natural pigmentation in our lips that make it a little different. I'm sure you can still pull it off like a rock star!
