The hair saver: Batiste Dry Shampoo

We've all heard it, it's not good to wash your hair everyday. But what are you to do if your hair seems to get greasy & oily faster than most? Fake it by using a dry shampoo.

It's a woman's secret weapon. It'll help extend a blow-out, leave your hair looking fresh by banishing greasy-looking roots and add volume and texture.

You can often find dry shampoo in an aerosol can or in a powdered form, much like baby powder. Most are white, which are usually pretty easy to blend in, however if you have dark hair, it can make your hair look ashy if not properly blended.

I've recently discovered my favourite dry shampoo: Batiste.

There's a reason why Batiste has a cult-like following. It's an aerosol that works wonders and comes in many different scents and colours.

It's super easy to blend the original white one so you don't really need the coloured ones, however they can help with hiding greys and coloured roots.

Batiste comes in Cherry, Tropical and a few other scents including Fresh, which is great for the man in your life.

Using Batiste is simple!
1. Shake the can vigorously, hold it about 12 inches (1 foot) away from your roots (Holding it at this length will help ensure that you'll get an even distribution)
2. Spray
3. Lift sections of your hair to get some of the roots underneath as well.
4. Wait 1-2 minutes to let the dry shampoo work it's magic
5. Gently massage and blend in the dry shampoo. You can use your fingers or a brush to do this.
6. Style it as you normally would.

Here's a before & after

Batiste can be purchased at Farleyco for $8.99. They also have s smaller version which is great for your purse. This is going to save me on those days I wake up too late for a shower & have to rush to work!
