July Starlooks

While it was a great ride, my time with Starlooks has come to an end. It has been 2 months and 3 boxes (one being my birthday box), but I decided to quit all of my beauty box subscriptions. It's hard, but looking at the mantel above my desk is a good reminder that I have A LOT of products that I need to finish up.

With that being said, I bring you, the contents of July's Starlooks Box!

That brush barely fits in the box!
While there are two items that I don't care much about, the other two items make up for it, big time!

Starlooks Sculpt & Blush Brush: While I do love my facial brushes with a small handle, this one is long, but still nice. The bristle are very soft and seem to be of good quality, the angle is just perfect and it grabs the perfect amount of product. I was quite excited to see such a nice brush in the box, and even more excited when I used it. Loving this product! Value: $22

Quince Relaxing Body Butter: Quince is actually not a Starlooks product. While this is to be used with the Penny Wise loose bronze eye shadow to transform it into a type of body bronzer. I don't use self tanners, or body bronzers, so this isn't for me at all. I haven't tried it yet, but when I do, it'll probably be mostly on it's own.

Penny Wise Pigment Luster: This can be used on your eyes as a loose eye shadow or mixed with the Quince body butter to create that "body bronzing effect". I'm not too sure about this last part. It's very shimmery. You can control how much of a bronzing effect by how much of the pigment luster you use. The pigment luster is half size. Value (Quince & Pigment luster): $9

St.Tropez Eye Shadow Palette: I seen someone else get this and I was so happy! The colours were gorgeous. Even better in person! I've tried them all, and so far nicely pigmented. Value: $41

Total retail value of this box: $72

To me, this box is totally worth it. Even if I don't care about the body bronzing stuff, the brush and the palette were so worth it. I'll have some eye looks in the next little bit to show you.

I am sad that this is my last box. The nice thing with Starlooks: If I see a box that I really really like, I can go onto their website and purchase it. Limited quantities are made available. While July's isn't on the site yet, I can only imagine that it'll sell out very quickly!

  1. aww, mail is so nice but that sounds like the right decision with beauty boxes. meantime, I am adding more subscriptions! whoops. I am new to beauty blogging and beauty boxes though and I'm sure it'll become saturated eventually.
